Mr. Sarkar did his Honours and Masters in Statistics from the Chittagong University. Subsequently he did his M. Sc. in Public Economic Management and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK. Mr. Sarkar underwent training in Centre for Banking Studies, Sri Lanka, IMF-Singapore Regional Training Institute, Singapore and IMF Training Institute, Washington D.C. U.S.A. His area of specialization is Macroeconomic impact of budget, government financial management and quantitative analysis.
