Muhammad Abul Kasem is currently working with the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance as a Deputy Secretary. Mr. Kasem completed his Bachelor Degree in A. Economics, MSc in Economics, Project Management and MSS in Public Policy and Management. He also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (IT). Mr. Kasem attended many professional training courses specialized in Public Financial Management (PFM) and Macroeconomic Policy both at home and abroad. Some of the highlights are Public Financial Management, Macroeconomic Policy, Financial Programming and Policies (FPP) part-1 & part-2, Macroeconomic Diagnostics and Macro-fiscal Forecasting and Analysis. His areas of interest are PFM, PFM information System, poverty, remittance, real sector and external sector. He has different international publications.
