Mr. Sarkar earned his Honor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics from Chittagong University. He subsequently completed his M.Sc. in Public Economic Management and Finance at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has undergone professional training at the Centre for Banking Studies in Sri Lanka, the IMF–Singapore Regional Training Institute in Singapore, and the IMF Training Institute in Washington, D.C., USA. Mr. Sarkar’s areas of specialization include the macroeconomic impact of budgets, government financial management, and quantitative analysis.
