Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman is currently serving as the Senior Secretary of the Power Division. He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre in 1991 and belongs to the 10th batch. The high point of his career has been his long stint of more than fifteen years in the Finance Division. He was one of the early bunches of officers who steered the transition from traditional method of budget making to the Medium-Term Budget Framework (MTBF). He was also a Budget Specialist in the Financial Management Reform Programme and Deepening DMTBF and Strengthening Financial Accountability Project of the Finance Division. Mr. Rahman earned his BSc. and MSc. in Applied Physics and Electronics from the University of Dhaka. He holds another Master’s degree in Economic Development Policy and Research from the University of Birmingham, UK. Mr. Rahman is a recipient of the prestigious Public Administration Award of 2017 for his outstanding contribution to public sector.
